EP Times reporters are just too stupid not to write about. I caught this article today from a link on their front page - https://www.elpasotimes.com/breakingnews/ci_4984161.
Here’s the text just in case they pull it down later.
Neighborhood leader will run for office (5:53 a.m.)

Troy Hicks has stepped down as president of the Eastside Civic Association to make a run at the District 6 seat on City Council.
Raymond Graham has been appointed the association s new president, said Hicks, who was at the helm of the civic group for just over one year.
Running for public office is in my heart, Hicks said. I want to be able to serve my community.
Formed in 1980, the Eastside Civic Association was established to promote civic activity, according to a report filed with the city s Neighborhoods First program.
It holds public meetings featuring speakers from local government and sponsors forums for candidates vying for political office.
El Paso County Judge Anthony Cobos is expected to be the group s guest speaker during a meeting that also will include recognition of Graham as association president of the Eastside Civic Association at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Eastside Seniors Center, 3200 Fierro.
Nowhere in there do they talk about who Troy Hicks is, what he believes in or who he may be facing in the election. With a headline of “Neighborhood leader will run for office” you’d expect to see some information on a NEIBHBORHOOD LEADER RUNNING FOR OFFICE. Instead the news genius focuses on an arbitrary neighborhood civic association position, it’s incoming chair and who’s speaking at the next meeting.
If the jackass was planning on writing about the Eastside Civic Association the headline should have been, “Eastside Civic Association Loses President.”
Don’t put chocolate cake on the menu and then serve me broccoli! No wonder people think we are stupid. Our local reporters are out classed by high school journalism students.
By the way – good for Hicks. He did well on Strelz today, but I expect the Strelz to drop him like a bad habit once he finds out that Hicks refuses the juice offered by the democrats. He's too smart to be categorized.
