It’s a very good insight into exactly what it takes to run for president and be in the spotlight at that level. Obama may be in way over his head. I’m not even talking politics here, I’m simply talking about honesty. If Obama is more than a year out from a presidential run and he’s coming up as untruthful now, he’s got a long road ahead of him.
Hillary has had her own problems. A newswire flashed a headline stating that 50% of Americans would never vote for her. This just solidifies my theory that neither of those persons are going to be the democrat nominee in 2008. Look at Bill Richardson or possibly a southern democrat to be the pick.
In other news…
I’ve been trying to track down Cobos to come on my show with no luck yet. I’d really like to just let him tell his side. I plan on having the other members of the court as well and have a “yes” from Veronica Escobar so far.
I’m getting a ton of crap about my opposition to the bond issue and I’m extremely happy about it. Everybody is trying to convince me that the “kids” need this. I call bullshit. We have schools all over town under their capacity and nobody is talking about it. We need to fill those schools up.
Did you read Rick Shecter’s response to Rep. Steve Ortega’s op-ed in the Newspapertree? http://www.newspapertree.com/opinion/1230-schecter-denies-vader-ties ... Wow… I’ll have Rick on if he will come on… He lives in my neighborhood and ignores me. I really pine for his political attention.
I’m still looking for some good dirt on candidates, so please share if you have some.
I used to be for the bond election for episd. just look at the condition SISD is in. Their voters have passed 5 bond elections and i believe they have some of the best schools in the city.
i voted for the episd bond and was dissappointed with the outcome. i went to burges hs and we were all exicited that this bond passed. then when district officials made these nice signs on how much each school would get, my school was only getting $74,000! and for what?! a concession stand for our gymnasium!
i was involved a lot in school and always go to other schools for competition. it was alright to see bowie, el paso high, and andress high school getting 1-3 million. but Franklin and Chapin? Chapin opened in 2000, why would they need money yet? Franklin i believe in 96, and both got around 2 million! burges had been opened for 50 years and we got the worst amount out of all the high schools. it made me a little upset, that's why i urge people to attend episd bond meetings because my mom did and she warned me we wouldn't get anything. i'm glad to see my old high school will be getting a little more money this time around
