UPDATE! Rep. Marquez Didn't Beat Anybody Up...

We've been a victim of a fantastic story that's just not true I'm afraid.

My original sources swore they had the story right.  They didn't.

I went to a guy who knows people who know people who are in the know.

They tell me that Marquez was at the Pershing Inn with an unidentified female friend.  Her boyfriend (who knew she had one anyhow?) was not there. 

Carlos "don't call me co-conspirator" Aguilar had a short conversation with Marquez about the mating habits of sea turtles and they parted ways (I'm only making some of that up).

I wouldn't be surprised if somebody kicked Carlos Aguilar's ass.  He deserves it.  And I don't say that about many people.  But he and Larry Medina are the made men in the jackass mafia.

Anywho...

Basically what happened here was that Carlos Aguilar and Norma Chavez are buddies.  He probably mentioned to her that he got his ass kicked last night and happened to have talked to Rep. Marquez right before the ass kicking.

Norma, being the sneaky underhanded waste of oxygen that she is, put out a rumor to make Marquez look bad.  I got wind of that rumor.  I posted it.  Now Marisa Marquez's career is over (file that under - unlikely).

So we move on now in the pursuit of half truths and other political musings just as if nothing had ever happened.

Maybe Marisa didn't. Maybe it was her friends and she happened to be there and did not even bother to call the cops. A public servant letting the law be broken and doing nothing to let authorities to know about it. That could have happened.
