OK prove it. Lets go to the Rod and Gun club and just see how well you can hit a target at 1,000 yards. Thing is I know you can't do it.

You haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about.

I was surprised that the media got wind of this information and sent it out as a release to the public. I work in the downtown area blocks away from the bridge and I take the border highway home. I find that police officers along with border patrol, helicoptors hovering on top right before you make that turn from N. Kansas onto the Border Highway is becoming a familiar picture.

Then it dawned on me, WOW they must be investigating shots fired and entering the US, so when are they going to let the motorist know, AFTER they are shot? Now I am taking the long way home because those metal fences may not stop the bullets from flying on the highway?

Lisa T,

1. I will never go to Ft. Bliss rod and gun club unless at gun point. It's a crappy facility frequented by PX heroes who shoot their mouths off more than any gun. You can meet me at Hunt's hole for a 1,000 yard session.

You are not the expert you think you are. http://www.nrawc.org/high_power_rifle_1000_yard.html

If the 1,000 yard shot was as impossible as you wrongly think it is, why is it the fastest growing segment of the benchrest competition community? Why would Ft. Bliss rod and gun club have 1000 yard targets if you can't hit them?

I am correct and I do know exactly what I'm talking about because I've been shooting bench rest for more than 15 years now.

By the way - .308 owns the longest Iraq kill - three quarters of a mile http://plancksconstant.org/blog1/2006/01/longest_confirmed_ki.html

Then lets go to to the rod and gun club and you can prove to me that you are what you say you are. My treat. I do know the reason why you complain about the Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun Club. It's because you are frontin as they say. You are a faker.
The Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun Clubs is one of the premier outdoor ranges in this country.

Your statement was anyone with a rifle and a 150 dollar scope can kill at 1,000 yards. Your reference to Iraq is a kill made by a highly trained professional with a specialized weapon package.

So I'm calling you out. So lets pop on over there to Range 5 and see what you've got. My guess is you are still playing with your BB Gun.

maybe those shots had a purpose. didnt one shot hit beto's office. maybe that cash paying customer of his mom's was due a refund and this was a warning.

I have nothing to prove to you, sorry. What I said is right - "a somewhat skilled person."

I didn't say "anyone" at all. So you're not reading.

And I will not support Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun club - it's a terrible place and has turned off more shooters than it has turned on. It's people like you who try to bully people like me that is the problem.

Sorry but tryiyng to hit a target at 1,000 yards is very difficult. It requires quite a bit of training with an understanding of ballistics which many do not have. As to me being a bully. I can't believe I'm saying this but you do need to grow up. Playing the victim is getting old. As far as turning off shooters it's hard to even get on the range to shoot due to the large number of people who shoot there. I'm still calling you out. I don't think you can hit anything at even 100 yards let alone 1,000 yards.
I'm still laughing at this I'm bulling you. Thanks for one of the greatest belly laughs I've ever had.

32 percent, that is funny. now council has egg on their faces for condemning the arizona law. almost blood on their faces, so to speak.

Lisa -

I'm not a victim. While you are "bullying" me, it's doing nothing more than generating a steady stream of emails from shooters who are saying that your misinformed, know-it-all attitude is exactly why they hate the Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun club.

I'm laughing at your assertion that I can't "hit anything at 100 yards" when the reality is quite the opposite.

the only part of this discussion i don't appreciate is your use of the term "PX heroes".

unless you served in the military - which i believe you did not - then please refrain from using that description of select veterans.

thank you!

I sure wish that those gun men in Juarez would continue to shoot city hall. As long as they don't injure anyone. The reason I say this is because they are against the Arizona law that has been enforced for the first time since it came into law back in 1952/1953. Are they jealous because a woman had the guts to enforce it for the first time?

You're not from El Paso so in turn I'd appreciate it if you didn't comment on El Paso.

Doesn't make much sense, does it?

I write about people at Ft. Bliss Rod and Gun club in that manner because persons frequenting the place who rode a mop 100 miles off shore on a navy ship called into question my father's service "in country." And guess what - he's not the only person those armchair war heroes do that to.
