Since Rep. Lilly is being skewered (wrongly) on another blog and I think it's an organized effort between the Ness camp and Abeytia, I'm going to even the playing field.
The utter BS coming from the Ness camp should not go unrewarded with my attention.
Tune in later for a full exposure of Ness' strategy and why her own history draws into question every aspect of her candidacy.
The truth about who has really been bought and caught will come out among other things. Also, two husbands in two countries? Say it isn't so!
People in paper pants shouldn't play with fire.
Two husbands from two countries...what's the big deal? Isn't Trump on wife #4 and all from different countries? I just can't see you as a knight in shining armor; it just isn't your character.

I can tell you Ms. Ness-Garcia is not the person she appears to be. Inept, incompent and arrogant are the best words to describe her when it comes to running for elective office.

Then she will fit right in with the holder overs from the other districts and the Mayor who is not running this time.

Wonder why Ness,Lilly and Niland have signs where the shouldn't be like city and state property.
Posted by: Yuiuy | April 27, 2011 at 10:34 PM
There is a company that will make your signs and run around putting them up. They don't care where they put them. I have seen the City's Environmental Services department out there on weekdays and weekend ends picking them up. I see more of Ness-Garcia signs violating the ordinance than I do Niland and Lilly. But then Ness-Garcia doesn't follow the law. She makes accusations against an opponent and refuses to file complaints to correct the violation of law. So law breaking comes naturally to her.

Yawn. This is tiresome.
They ALL have their signs in the same spaces Ness-Garcia just has her signs on private property where I presume she got permission.
Lets just talk about the issues.

Lyda Ness and her supporters won't talk about the issues. I attended the SOV forum and I didn't really see any passion in her answers to questions about anything other than my kids can ride horses in the Upper Valley and I don't like Redd Road. As a matter of fact this was a one-issue forum and a pile on, beat up on Lilly forum. There wasn't any credible discussion of any other issues. Lyda Ness regurgitated answers to CO and GO bond questions as if she had picked up what Ric Schecter said. You could tell by her face she had no clue what a CO or GO bond was. District 1 covers a lot more area than just a tiny piece of the Upper Valley. I suggest SOV quit being so elitist. Your rich shows through and in El Paso that usually gets you scorned and villified. Maybe we should push for HACEP to put their next Section 8 housing project right smack in the middle of your world.

HELL, ANNE DOESN'T SHOW UP AT HALF THE FORUMS SO THE ONLY THING WE KNOW WHAT SHE STANDS FOR IS WHATEVER THE GROUP THAT BACKS HER STANDS FOR.

Lyda is my daughter and as her mother I will respond to your ugliness. I guess Lilly her opponent has been able to buy enough of you bloggers from the $17K you got from Big Business to leash the barracudas after her.
Incompetence? Here is a kid that was a prodigy, scoring in the 90's percentile on all test including her SLAT's (Law entrance exams) skipped grades, graduated from school early and was accepted to the best universities. She went to U of M and was a star student winning all sorts of awards. She passed the bars in Pennsylvania AND TX tristate (with DC). She sat the first Board Certification exam offered in Texas and was awarded this prestigious certification. Only a handful in Texas hold this.
In high-school and university Lyda volunteered for battered women, children, safe toys, etc. She has always had a heart of gold since she was little. in pre-school she had a sense of justice when her teacher's informed us how she mediated between to kids fighting over a tricycle negotiating each should have 5 min on the bike. She has integrity and stands up for those who do not have the money, and power to do so themselves such as children.
You may say as her mother I am biased but as her mother I also know my daughter better than any of you. I know her faults as well as her strengths and I like to think we have raised our children well - others have told us we have and have always admired our children for their value systems. I had several El Paso judges and lawyers tell us so without solicitation.
IMy daughter does not know I am writing on this blog and if she reads it I hope she forgives me and not consider me a meddling mother but I will not stand by to listen to the slander and lies from people who do not know her. I do this for the sake of my Grandchildren, the oldest mature enough to hear these horrible things. SO LAY OFF THE PERSONAL ATTACKS THAT AFFECT MY GRANDCHILDREN!
I will not keep silent when such lies and people ignorant of the truth feel free to personally attack my daughter and impact the privacy of my grandchildren.
By the way, Lyda has a very successful business due to her incredible competency. The business grew by referrals and word of mouth. She is also a great business person now that she has experience and maturity. She learned the hard way. In mown profession we physicians are not necessarily good at running our businesses either. We also learn through experience.
Why do you not stick to the issues? I have watched Lyda

Lyda's Mom
I admire your defending your daughter. Thanks for your perspective and insight
Posted by: Tim Collins | April 29, 2011 at 11:35 AM
you can be all the prodigy you want to be but it boils down to if you are too stupid to understand your contractual obligation to pay for your AT&T yellow page ad, too stupid for a number of years to pay the IRS taxes for payroll then I'm sorry you are too stupid to run for political office. Higher education doesn't make you smarter than the average Joe. It just shows you have a tolerance for sitting in a classroom and listening to other idiots that can't make it in real world. Case in point - Bill Gates dropped out of college. Need I say more. He seemed to figure out how to start a small business and grow it without owing the tax man and AT&T. Hundreds of small business owners do it every day, all day. Lyda Ness needs to go work for a firm she doesn't own so she won't make stupid business decisions anymore. And with her inability to understand how to run a small business I certainly don't want to give her to keys to the City treasury.

I do not know any of these people. But, I do congratulate this mom for defending her daughter. That is very admirable.
