I hate to do this, but too many of you are too easily duped by the hollow words of a would-be politician. Lyda Ness has never denied that she's in extreme tax trouble with the IRS. So extreme that one tax attorney I talked to put Ness' amount owed as "probably within the top 5 individuals in the southwest." His key word was "individuals," because he says that businesses are often in the six figure range while only the extremely wealthy in America can get themselves to six figure tax problems via a 1040. He told me that Ness' income has to be tremendously large to have such large amounts owed in such a short time. Or, she wasn't paying payroll taxes.
Ness is telling anyone who asks that she is paying back what she owes and has negotiated a deal with the IRS. I find that hard to believe after reading what the IRS says about what they do when someone doesn't pay their taxes and have a lien placed on their property.
You can read all about it HERE.
Ness has no problem producing all kinds of worthless documents proving nothing about Lilly, but can't simply show one document proving that she is taking care of tax problems. Obviously she's not telling us the truth, but many of you are not smart enough to know that. Since when do you believe what a politician says without checking it ten times, ten different ways?
You'd think the reporters would ask the kinds of questions that are little more probing, a little more informative than "what's up with your tax situation?"
Do you believe your own BS? Unnamed tax attorney? He would know thst 1040s then are not payroll. Great anon source? There were two local attorneys and three businessmen alone in El Paso owing in excess of a million just last few years.

I heard from a very reliable source several years ago she bounced a check for some used furniture and it took some time to collect...do we need a person like this to be handling our tax dollars when she can't handle her own?

Davidbs,
And SP runs everything through a 1040 - most lawyers practicing by themselves do this and to tha "T" every lawyer I have talked to has said that it's "failure to pay payroll taxes or not realizing she gets 1099ed when she gets paid."
She's too good to pay taxes - I get it. Don't think the voters won't notice, they will.

davidbs: i guess you are one of her many followers that just don't have any issue whatsover with someone that doesn't report their income and pay the tax on that income. wish i could get that sweetheart deal and then run for office and tell everyone it's no big deal - i'm just stupid! that should motivate thousands to go out and vote for someone that has admitted they are stupid about accounting.

ACCOUNTING ? ISN'T THAT JOYCE WILSON'S JOB ? ACCOUNTING ? NOW, HOW MUCH DID THE PAC DONATE TO ANNE AND HOW MUCH MORE MONEY WILL SHOW UP BEING DONATED IN THE FINAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS REPORT ? BIG BUCKS I BET !

No, "accountant", the council is expected to pass a balanced budget. Get educated before opening mouth and inserting foot.
Who cares if Rep. Lilly gets PAC money? I am more concerned with Ness the Mess's being mentally unstable. To top it off, she is mean and vindictive. And anyone supporting her needs to have a mental evaluation.

diana=eileen or david's alter ego. There are many of us who care who people get PAC money from and especially people who flip-flop votes once they get it.

not a PAC man, you are clueless. Anyone disagrees with you and it is David, his mother, or alter-ego. If you dislike him so much, get off his blog. After all, we know you are Ness the Mess or her weird campaign manager whose wife desperately needs a job.

Anyone disagree with you Diane and it has to be Ness or one of her handlers, but its funny how you ask me to get off his blog. That sounds vaguely familiar "mommy dearest".

Mommy dearest has been out of town until today. So I didn't post as Diana or anyone else. Don't like what you read don't visit the blog. Simple as that.
