Would it be worth turning this into a blog with a national issue focus? Wife and kids aren't with me and I get bored at night...
You can say "no" and I won't be offended.

I don't know, you'd be up against El Paso for America's "The Next Big Step" and "The Third Rail"

Tim,
I don't know what those are... radio shows?

Worth what? The blogging platform is free.
Writers write. You have a better chance of being successful if you find some shtick other than conservative white dude blogging about national issues. But keep writing somewhere.

Matthew,
The platform isn't free in this case... and there is another blog going live in a few weeks that is not political.

David,
Keep it running.

he meant "kid" (unless he's counting the cat and dog as kids).

I'm up for keeping it running as well. And let's us know when the other blog is up and running too. I'm sure others are interested as well.

I think that focus would be fantastic. Maybe sprinkle in some state issues as well. It would be great to analyze state and national issues and how they might affect circumstances in EP. After all, thats what most political commentary in EP does anyway because there is only so much local stuff going on at any given time (mainly during election time). Such a focus will help return a semblance of respectability to political discourse because every time the focus is local it turns into a bunch of name calling high school drama (mainly because of the cronyism). Hope you come back to blogging David.

@Tim... Laying real low. Actually I moved from El Paso a while back. Got married had a couple of kids. Figured my big opinions should go with me.

I'll read (almost) whatever you write.

All politics are local so no such thing as national issues as they are local issues that bubble to the top.
