Actually MLK, CC etc said they became better Activists after 1st jailing...in other words it can be rather 'freeing' to be jailed for a cause you believe in...the mic speak is actually what democracy looks like...its ment to give voice to all in the leaderless movement...late news this morning David may have missed is aclu-nlg got a court order to reopen nyc park...I don't Know what esquires david knows but some government attys say the aclu can kick butt in court re constitutional rights...the courts are better than standing on a corner with a protest sign or sleeping in a tent but its all part of the movement.

latest update on NYC Park and OWS. The original Judge apparently had a huge bias against the city. It's now in another's judge's court right now and NYC is waiting his opinion.

I didn't see Charlie Bailey's name in today's paper listing those arrested. Did he bail on the occupiers? In Jaime Abeytia's earlkier video, Bailey sez he is gonna stay and get arrested, fight it in court, and win on constitutional grounds. Just wondering where he went.........

I think Chris went for a latte and only returned after the cops had gone for the day. I am certain he is disappointed.

(Joking Chris)

Being a former "radio personality", Charlie (Chris) learned it's safer to "talk the talk"' rather than "walk the walk".......hehe.....walk outta there before the cops get there

Lacking in intellect is "provocative" coming from someone who can't control his prepositions... but that aside, how would shutting down a city prove superior intellect? It seems that the eventual outcome of that war folly called Iraq served to prove the intellect of those protestors to be superior to that of the men-- and one woman-- occupying the halls of government up there in DC. It did so without affecting the economy and daily lives of DC dwellers. What's really even more bad is that the lack of intellect up there in DC (as Sarah Palin would say) came at the cost of billions and billions of $$$$ and 1000s and 1000s of lives lost. But, no sense in dredging up the past, right? Oh, but I do agree fully with you that it was just rich to see all those committed supportive freedom fighters stand on the side in their warm outfits, camera in hand, or posting well done messages on FB in the comfort of their homes celebrating the "courage" of 18YOs who now have an arrest record. Nothing like having hermanos por la cuasa stand right behind you-- literally.

moi toi,

Please help me with my prepositions! You're looking at the only editor and one with little time on his hands and very little talent for writing at all., All help is welcome. Let me know where I messed up and I will fix it.

A little note for you - put what you think Sarah Palin would say in quotations so that it doesn't appear that the entire sentence is in your voice. I want to think you are attributing the use of "more bad" to her. However, because you didn't indicate the shifting of voice through quotations, I can only think that you don't know of the word "worse."

I must say your anti-war rant seems to be the exact problem with the movement - you're throwing the war out there, someone else is throwing the war on drugs out there and there's the war on poverty and the war on obesity and the war on the middle class.

Believe me - those protesters know very little of the war in Iraq, most of them could not pick out that country on a map and they believed there was no vote by the house to go to war. I'd like to believe you are right, but unfortunately you are wrong. Well, at least with your reference to the protesters and the war.

You're mad about the war - I get it. It's over. Your president with your ideals is not only extending our presence in Afghanistan, but starting new troop deployments to three countries in Africa. And he's doing it to protect oil imports. You seem to have a problem with the past, but no concern with the present. I must take your anger and put it in the "I just hate conservatives" basket where it belongs. You're not a "free thinker," you're just angry.
