I was cruising the internet last night and stopped by one of my favorite blogs - gawker.com. As I was clicking through their site I found an article (HERE) about animal rights terrorists. The article was interest enough, but became profoundly so when they mention the University of Texas El Paso and one of its professors - Dr. Steven Best.
When I went to UTEP Dr. Best spend a lot of time shaping young minds out of class - locking them in cages and staging protests in the of "animal rights." It was no secret that he was getting a lot of attention from young impressionable girls with what he was doing. I figured that his animal rights schtick was just a way to get girls into bed. I never figured that he was at the center of a radical movement calling for the murder of innocent Americans.
How this guy is still employed at UTEP is beyond my comprehension. He is advocating violence against others and using his position to bolster his influence over others. Is this the guy you want your kids, your UTEP students learning from? I don't think so. But - he's alive and well at UTEP where good intentioned people go to have their brain removed.
