I figured I'd throw another blog a bone since he's at least trying - Brownfield is back. He never really left. He's been commenting here from time to time under several different names - usually giving me hell and making mommy jokes.
The guy is funny, but....
Brownfield is one of those El Pasoans who now sees corruption in everything - except where it's actually happening. He doesn't know who the players are and how they are connected. I guess he's a victim of a public relations campaign by the guilty parties that centered on the "I know you are, but what am I" strategy for their defense.
If you don't know what I'm talking about - I'll quickly go over it.
If you look at certain attorneys, former elected officials and political insiders who are always screaming "corruption" and pointing fingers these days, you'll find a common theme in their past... THEY WERE All SUPPORTERS OF THE PEOPLE NOW IN JAIL OR GOING TO JAIL FOR CORRUPTION. Not everyone remembers who these people were associated with because El Pasoans have short memories and I must admit - a lot was done to cover up their past support of these criminals. Just look at the pass guys like Paul Strelzin get. Do you remember his love fests with the guys now under indictment or in jail? Would you believe a word he said today on who is corrupt and who is not? You wouldn't and you shouldn't believe Brownfield either.
He will talk about "corruption" and you can you just replace that with "people who don't agree with me." Give it a read and just remember - the FBI isn't investigating any of the people he claims are "corrupt."
Sometimes hypocrisy looks a lot like corruption. Given that it's local El Paso government, corruption can pass the Occam's Razor test.

No David it's those you support from time to time that turning the blind eye is no big deal with you.I wish you would go back to the funny satire that you do best.I may not agree all the time but it was sure funny.

It's true. I am back, for how long I have no idea. It's also true that the stuff David wrote made me so upset I would comment. I do not track the comments on my blog, because I dont care who anyone is.
I have no side in El Paso politics. That is what makes me so hard to understand and yet so interesting to you one party drones. I failed to vote in the last primary and general election and I plan on sitting this one out. It's not that I don't care. I do. It's that nobody worth a darn runs. They are either clueless on the issues or totally beholden to the fundraising crowd...or sometimes both.
Do I give David K and family crap? You bet. I find it completely laughable that people serve on appointed boards, give money to elected officials and do business with the city. The system is funny. A guy like Dr. Garcia can use taxpayer money to pay off his lover for playing kiss the yo-yo and yet we cannot go after his retirement? Why? Because some poliscum got together and made it that way. I am sure plenty of people think it's a real knee slapper that the guys who paid for most of the pro bond issue advertising are now raking it in as contractors for work on the very projects that they advocated for. I guess what I am saying is the system is a joke for allowing massive conflicts of interest to go on precisely because it is legal.
Saying I have been fooled by certain people is laughable. Name them I can tell you negative things I have written about any and all of them. Unless it's Dan Wever. That is about the only guy who was an elected offical in this town that I ever respected.

Brownfield,
we gave no money to the bond issues - and we get no bond issue work. Yes - those who gave, got work. It sucks, but it is no illegal.
Our business is low bid - can't fake that. it's opened in public in front of god and everybody.

Brownfield, you are so negative and one sided. You are NOT funny. I can agree to disagree, but the way you attack people is wrong. David is right when he states you think everyone in politics is corrupt, except where your best buddies are concerned. And, as David pointed out, THEY are the corrupt ones. Maybe you should change your glasses.

Low bid is a joke and quite frankly a smoke screen.

Brownfield, I agree with Josie. You had potential, but I stopped reading you and after reading a recent post, I'm going back to finding you not significant enough to read. You think EVERY person is corrupt. That's not smart, cynical commentary. That's the rhetoric of a simpleton. Your posts are very shallow. You don't have any new, interesting or relevant information. Your posts are nothing more than the (long, very long) rants of an angry dude.

I stopped reading after he got my name wrong! It's TRICIA not TRISH!

Wert, why are low bids a joke and why are they a smoke screen? Give specifics or stop your nonsense.
Heard tell your husband did a wonderful thing at the council meeting, Tricia! Give him a big hug and kiss.

I did and he did! But I'm more than happy to give him another one from you! Thanks for the kind words!
