To clarify yesterday's post in election fraud in El Paso. I called out Jaime Abeytia specifically because of his opposition to voter ID and many Facebook posts asserting that voter fraud never takes place. Abeytia has in fact covered this voter fraud case from the beginning - so he is credited with breaking the news we all figured was going on. what I can't square is his stance on voter ID.
City Council needed a special meeting yesterday... if they are going to need "special meetings" frequently, they ought to go back to every Tuesday for meetings. This BS of trying to make it impossible for stakeholder to show up in support (or opposition) of legislative issues is wrong.
I'm all for less government meeting less frequently. However, if you can't get your work done in the time given - add time.
The anatomy of a lie... Look at how Martian Paredes starts a lie HERE. Notice the headline reads "Outside Investigator Ross Fischer Looking Into Joyce Wilson." Then look at his info-graphic with Wilson's picture on it... it reads "Is investigator looking into Joyce Wilson's role in bond delay?"
Those are two different things there. One is declaring that an investigation is taking place of Joyce Wilson (there is no such investigation) and the other is asking if there's an investigation into Joyce Wilson (there is no such investigation).
Martian Paredes would love for you to think that that Fischer guy is Ken Starr. He is not. He is a public relations guru and an attorney. He was hired to make sure the city attorney and mayor don't get caught up in this mess (it wasn't their fault, so they should be less nervous than they are).
Fischer's report has no legal authority at all. It can not lead to anything other than a "he said, she said" declaration of wrongdoing. Any civil or criminal court would giggle at the report and kindly asked that it be consciously recycled for the good of the people. How do I know this? I flat out asked a sitting Texas judge.
People like Martian Paredes thing this Fischer guy is going to put people in jail as to settle old political scores. He is not. He's going to political wall to protect those who hired him. YOU are picking up that tab.
It's best you people move on. You can't get the money back. Spending more money to cry about money lost is just stupid.
Next up on Martian Paredes blog - Fischer investigates Patriot's deflation of balls, Hillary's email, Cruz's true birth place, the Pyramids and whereabouts of Norma Chavez (we miss you!).
You know why council is having such a hard time with street improvements? Because the way Romero did it is how they all did it. A loose list of probable streets was once assembled, but most of the projects were awarded based on need at that moment. It's very hard to make people stick to a hard and fast plan to fix streets when conditions of roadways change so drastically in short amounts of time.
I thinks that's all for now.
