Really funny that Pickett said he didn't want to overturn the will of the people (the Austin vote) to write a new law regarding ride sharing. Where was he when Cook overturned the "will of the people" on the domestic partner benefits issue in El Paso? Austin voted - not El Paso. El Paso seems to want ride sharing. He needs to remember what city he represents. If he likes Austin so much - become a permanent resident and run as a Democrat for the State Legislature from Austin.

It's nice to read a blog with actual news from Texas for a change. I know we send representatives to Austin but most people have no idea what is happening there. Thanks for the update.
