What bothers me is Vero wanting a new ORR rule - any one individual that has too many Open Records requests that the cumulative number of hours spent gathering exceeds 36 hours will be charged for staff time. I don't think it will pass the smell test if challenged in court. You have to treat each ORR request the same as the others. Of course she didn't include EPT in that because that is her new mouthpiece for her campaign and the place to discredit, destroy and misrepresent the virtues of any of her opponents. If the County handles ORR's like the city - anybody can make up an email address and it won't be from the "same person". Or the candidate running against Veronica can just go down the list of people to get them to submit an ORR. How stupid is Veronica when it comes to this sort of stuff? Make a rule - everyone will figure a way around it.

We here at El Paso Times editorial board do exhaustive research to make sure that we endorse not just the most qualified and competent candidate for El Paso, but for the country. Did I mention that I got a Ben Bradlee award?

This posts puffs me up with pride for our wonderful state system. I am so puffed up I will vote for Willy Cager as a write-in since he would be as good as anyone and he is a nice neighbor. To heck with Vero, Dori (another neighbor) and Susie who is not a neighbor but I have her husband's CD. Keep up the fine work David (your mother was friends with my significant other's late-mother). It's not what you know but who you know. Or who you say yes to.

Oscar?

Not sure who your significant others late mother is.

"The last thing you need is someone up there fighting to get in front of cameras and saying stuff YOU will regret."

You mean like the famous Playboy piece or the Gubment Cheese or the John McCain statement or the current Sanctuary lawsuit ?

"Since El Paso is the place America and Texas forgot, there's no chance the Democratic representative from that city would ever get on an important committee much less sit atop the hierarchy of one of those committees." Further proof that you get dumber just reading this column. El Paso's last 3 House members have sat on Armed Services, Intelligence and Appropriations. Reyes chaired the Intelligence Committee and Coleman was a subcommittee chair on Appropriations. You literally have no fucking clue what you're babbling about.

Reyes only got chair of the Intelligence because Pelosi was in a cat fight with Jane Harmon from California. For seniority purposes it should have gone to Jane Harmon. Under Reyes' watch the 3rd Cavalry got moved to Ft. Carson and he had no clue it was going to happen. Coleman didn't do jack shit for El Paso except be the poster child for writing hot checks that the taxpayers covered. And Beto, just exactly what has he done. It's one thing to be a member of a committte, it's another to actual do something with the appointment to benefit El Paso.

Beto has been unable to make any significant improvements to veterans care. Other than a few token changes that haven't meant much, he's gotten nothing done. He talks a lot about issues that are out of his purveyance such as open borders and Mexico is our friend and we should welcome all immigrants without question. My brother-in-law is Guatemalan. They feel the US has encouraged migration of children. They don't like it. He recognizes the country has major problems but exporting children will not solve them. Beto wants to be a bigger fish by serving in the Senate so he can stay in DC longer. His political ambitions are endless. Don't believe his talk about serving El Pasoans. He doesn't even want to live here.

Beto is strong on rhetoric and weak on results. 3 terms in congress and authored not co-sponsored a couple of bills. He's got his tenure and is set for life. Over 100,000 dollars annual pension and super healthcare benefits.

I don't believe he will do any better if elected as a senator.

And look at the choices to replace him in congress. One that shouts for Juarez issues but whispers "put them in jail, we need the fed money". The other would use the term to go on (wink) congressional fact finding tours. We will see and hear even less from the school supe. He will accompany her to tell the countries (wink) how great the school system is doing. (wink)To protect his image he will stay only in five star hotels. Be seen in a black government SUV, oh hell no ! Image ! He will use limos only.

Once again, choose your poison.

Just read that Escoba stated that jail is good for the Mexicans that are being held for illegal entry. What bs !

Now she always saying that Mexicans being the focus of illegal entry is racist. But her comments focused strictly on the Mexican consulate, Mexican families being able to find the people. So jail is good for them ! So is she is a racist or making it clear that other illegal immigrants don't matter?

I have a song and dance vaudeville act that she would without a doubt be a. star.

If the people don't get it that she is using them, that's just plain a strong case of suckerism. Dorky is right behind her with the dual travel show hosts of Dorky and the Supe. Or is the Life of the wannabe rich and dislusionals.

WE HAD TO PIC BETWEEN A CRIMINAL AND A TWEET NUT FOR PRESIDENT. THE TWEET NUT WON. SAME HERE. I WOULD VOTE FOR THE TRAVEL GATE OVER THE MEXICAN GATE,UMC & CHILDREN'S GATE, CHIEF ALLAN GATE, LAWSUIT GATE, PLAYBOY GATE, AND THE GUBMENT CHEESE GATE ANY DAY. I WANT AN EL PASO REP AND NOT A JUAREZ REP. BETO, ON THE OTHER HAND WAS THE BEST REP SANTA THERESA, NEW MEXICO AND HIS SUEGRO EVER HAD.

its between a white classy woman and a mexican maids tool. no contest. burgess can clean her yard since he knows so much about where she lives. he is just jealous he doesnt live like a maid's tool

We here at the El Paso Times editorial board are careful to not to capitalize all of our words in order to avoid the impression that we are bat shit crazy. We might lie to you. But it will never be in capital letters. That's just wrong.

Deceive and Deceiving. Webster's New World Dictionary - Second Edition has this meaning. To make people believe what is not true, delute, mislead, betray, To make false. To err in conduct or action. To deceit.
This is what Dori Fenenbock is doing. She is running as a Democrat when she is a Big Republican. We the people are not stupid. Why should the voters vote for her when she is being deceitful? We the people deserve much better.

The word "gullible" was overlooked in reference to the Escoba supporters.
The word "stupid" applies to supporters of both.

One flaunts her royal status in travels at schools expense along with her footman. The other tells you that jail is good for those held by CBP while expressing outrage about the notion that jailing folks for unlawful entry is racist.

Take your pick as to whom is the deceiving and deceiver.

Of course there will be some that can't tell the difference and enter into a trance when their D appears.

Fact checker,

Don't call someone stupid when you're the idiot. you are so far off on Reyes and you have no idea how useless that approps sub chair (which he wasn't) is/was. Armed Services is the absolutely worst of the worst committee assignments. Any asshole who has taken a capitol tour knows that.

You checked no facts, but invented them for yourself.

Not you, Dinner Plates
