We here at the El Paso Times editorial board acknowledge that there are at least 40 or 50 white people left in El Paso. They can call the cultural center whatever they want. We're moving back to Wisconsin.

Mark Fenenbock getting appointed to a federal position? Mark Fenenbock doing anything for anyone other than himself is one of the funniest, gut wrenching comical comments I have heard in years. You crack me up David, keep them coming!

David K
CCC has been in record hiding mode for at least the last three years.
Here is an example, remember the big raises at the CCC? Well open records request were made of all the communications e-mail,phone,written records, even on their personal devices on this issues among CCC members staff, support staff and communication with other elected officials in El Paso and El Paso county.
At least with two of the CCC members and their staff and support staff there was zero response and what we did get covered less than a month before the big vote to get the big raises and it was very limited. We do know from limited insight that discussions had been on going on this since the first part of the year on the big raises. From credible sources inside stated they were hiding the records because it would have cause an even bigger shit storm than they had.
Then again what do they have to fear when the DA looks the other way and Sheriff will not take complains and investigate such open violations of open records laws?
David, Jaime is only offended when his side is being violated under the law but when it's others it's OK and no big deal especially when it's those he opposes!

Anyone find the "RAZA" financial backers in Phoenix a bit sketchy?

Beto -- Wisconsin is ok but Minnesota is better. Did you know the Mall of America is there? It's awesome.

What's telling about the raises is Escoba claims she didn't want the increase. But she didn't bother to have it cancelled during the three day period prior to it becoming official.

Why doesn't she donate the increase to charity?

Simple she DID want the raise and played a sleight of hand.

Abeytia wasn't quiet about it: http://thelionstarblog.blogspot.com/2017/07/commissioners-wrong-on-open-records.html

I've been to Minnesota. I have close relatives in Minnesota. El Paso is no Minnesota. In Minnesota people use turn signals. In Minnesota people are polite to a fault. El Paso is populated with rude, self loathing Mexicans that wish they lived in Minnesota.

dumb mexicans will never raise that money. looks like they will pander to whitey, once again, for more support. weve been feeding their abuelitas and schooling their defective brood for decades. even jaimen abeytia barely got his ged, before his almost felony. funny, he has an ad for an az company but still has the warrant for being a deadbeat dad loser

Comical: Veronica Escobar's husband is an attorney in a government agency. Fenenbock is not a practicing attorney. Do the math dummy.

Here is the link and release on Escobar's husbands appt by Jeff Sessions.

Interesting how the El Paso Times made no mention of the appointment.

Michael S. Pleters, Immigration Judge, El Paso Service Processing Center

Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Michael S. Pleters to begin hearing cases in July 2017. Judge Pleters earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987 from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor in 1992 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. From 1999 to 2017, he served as an assistant chief counsel for the Office of Chief Counsel, Department of Homeland Security, in El Paso, Texas. From 2011 to 2014, he served as a special assistant U.S. attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico. From 1994 to 1999, he served as an assistant district attorney for the Office of the District Attorney, 34th Judicial District, also in El Paso. From 1992 to 1994, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Harry Lee Hudspeth, Chief U.S. District Court Judge, Western District of Texas. Judge Pleters is a member of the Texas and New York State Bars.

Wonder what dinner conversation is at the Escobar-Pleters house when it comes to Sanctuary Cities; illegal immigrants, open borders, etc. Pleters will now have to pass judgment on those that violate the law and Escobar wants to let them all go free. Interesting.

They eat lots of chicos tacos....his taco and hers
