I'm sure you saw the piece on the El Paso Times, Jaime's blog and out of Byrd's mouth about the Super's travel budget.
First of all, why did nobody scream bloody murder months back when Susie Byrd skipped the original meeting to deal with this issue in order to go fundraising with the county judge in Washington DC (which was against the rules)??? Now it's Dori's fault because she resigned and did what you all wanted resigned politicians to do - walked away????
Why not blame the six sitting board members for their votes instead of the one that wasn't there? You gave Byrd a pass... Why not Dori? Dori resigned. When Dori is replaced are you going to still blame Dori? It's idiotic to use this logic.
The real problem is Susie. She has created so many enemies on the board that they will vote against everything she's for. She over-politicized the board in order to help her friend get elected and now it's getting in the way of their business. Blame Susie.
Also, can someone please teach the El Paso Times about a "fiscal year" and what that means when looking at the budget and travel. If my yearly budget for food is $100, but I apply all the food bought for three years to the budget, I'm always going to exceed my budget... Am I the only one that gets that?
