Out of nowhere the El Paso Times breaks the news that everybody nobody knew about HERE. Crazy, they just decided to post about a lawsuit filed against Congresswoman Veronica Escobar. (Do we really have to have the election to give her the title?)
Again, how did the El Paso Times even know to report on this???? Who knew?
Interesting thing you might of missed in the article - "The suit was filed in the 41st District Court with Judge Annabell Perez."
Is that the same Annabell Perez that gave $500 to Veronica's campaign? If it is, then Veronica's grand plan is working so well it should be taught as it's own class for every political science degree path. There's no way this lawsuit goes anywhere. Veronica's judge hearing Veronica's case means Veronica's accusers lose before they even take the field. This couldn't have worked out better if you tried to dream it up.
If Judge Annabell Perez recuses herself... well... so long Judge Annabell Perez - Susie and Vero will make sure she is never elected to another office again, especially the one she holds now. Before her next election she'll have the "Texas Rangers" hot on her trail "investigating" her for doing something like putting a speed bump in front of a school to save children's lives.
Either way Judge Annabell Perez is in a bad spot. That's assuming we have the right donor here. Could be some other Annabell Perez from El Paso who lists her occupation as "Judge."
Again - I can't tell you how dangerous it is to let a political faction grow this big. They are literally untouchable by the law (they currently own the district attorney). Even worse - they can have any foe arrested, defamed, investigated or otherwise taken out of contention for elective office.
------------
As for the veracity of the the lawsuit... I don't know. I called the election to the T, but I assumed team Veronica was in some way cheating (driving people to the polls who don't have their wits about them being a major issue I have - or intimidating Patrons into doing basically the same... or paying them). None of that is illegal, it's just immoral.
I will write something later that outlines why election fraud investigations are very hard, even when we know something is fishy. Whatever Norma is trying to do here is going to be hard unless someone involved rats out the other side. I'd say that a rat might be found floating in the Rio Grande, but then again you can't float in the Rio Grande these days, can you?
I'd like to look at some vote concentrations from elections past and compare them to this election. That's usually how you tell something fishy has gone on.
Anywho... congrats to the El Paso Times for writing the story that everybody has been talking about all week.
Hmmm...I guess Escobar didn't want to take any chances with getting the win on the first vote.

Yes Judge Perez is the donor and also a former County Commissioner when Escobar was County Judge. She was part of Escobar's voting slate along with Chozet.
Perez has too many conflicts to hear this case and needs to recuse.
The one thing that was noticeably different were the number of mail in ballots.
On the first day alone more were mailed in than the total in any past entire election.
As of the first day of early voting over 4500 were mailed out and over 1200 in.
The ending total for early voting was over 3500 mailed in for democrats alone.
I had heard the democrats sent out thousands of applications for mail in ballots. It seems to have worked.

Nothing Burger! They could have video of Vero tapering with the voting machines and nothing is going to happen it's all a waste of time! Remember at the end of the day Vero has her get out of jail free card!

I'm still waiting for Ann Morgan to be arrested. And I'm still waiting for the two hospital board members to be charged.

David K, Please ask you mother to convince Dori to remain involved with the EP County Democratic Party. Once upon a time we all called Beto a RINO.
Dori should continue to participate and be involved.

Ann Morgan Lilly is a fiesty little fireplug that’s full of old fashioned spunk.

Not even, Morgan is overrated and egoistical with a plantation mentality.
