Montelongo's big stink about the quality control problems associated with the bond construction is unfounded. Gustavo Reveles-Gonzalez-Smith-Ramirez-Jackson-Obama-Ruiz, or whatever his name is, at the EP Times refuses to use any of the information given to him by the many parties who are players in this game. He's under Montelongo's thumb and will ignore the facts in order to keep favor with her.
The good news is that interested parties are approaching Sito Negron as you read this and the truth is sure to come out in Newspaper Tree.
So why is Montelongo on a mission to cost Ysleta $8 Million dollars they don't need to spend?
Here's the scoop.
Montelongo was canned a while back. This whole issue of the "quality control" problems has been raised to exact revenge on the person who fired her.
You, the tax payer, are about to get screwed to the tune of $8 million dollars for unneeded services from an outside auditor. What Gustavo-Reveles-Jimenez-Juarez-Castillo-O'Leary fails to tell you is that there is already an "outside auditor" so to speak. That "outside auditor" was hired to manage the bond expenditures and construction - they are on the hook for crappy work.
This is a typical case of revenge politics where we are all being lied to in order to try get back at someone who wronged Montelongo in the past.
Get her out of office fast or face the fact that BRAC will be gone when they can't pass a bond issue in neither Socorro or Ysleta.
