I'm not going to predict both states or the whole race, but I will give you where I think El Paso will put its vote.
Senator Hillary Clinton
Why? Because she was the favorite to begin with and Obama didn't do the simple thing that it would have taken to beat her.
We all know that the Clinton's have the Hispanic vote for the most part. It's not that they they did a damn thing for Hispanics other than pardon a few South American terrorists who killed cops. At that, I don't think anyone in El Paso gave a damn about that in the first place. Actually, I'm at a loss as to why Hispanics have like for them at all. Bill is known as the "first black President," not the first Hispanic president, if you don't remember.
I know the answer as to why we are so in love with the Clintons. We are a town of bandwagon riders. Noticed the New England Patriots garb all over town? I have. We like the Clintons because they've won for quite a while.
With that said, there are some El Pasoans who have legitimate reasons for picking Hillary over Obama. I count folks like Paul Strelzin in that small group of folks. The rest of you are sheep.
Obama could have beaten Hillary here in El Paso. If he had shown up over the weekend or today, he would have won. Hell, he could have showed up last weekend as long as he was the last to be here.
El Paso took it personally that Obama didn't come. The fence riders fell onto Clinton property because Obama didn't care enough to come.
I understand why El Paso would want him to come. We like that kind of attention. We think it is fun. El Paso voters dig those kinds of appearances. People are still talking about Hillary's visit and I'm not talking about Reyes' embarrassing gaff.
I really think there was an Obama movement in town that was beating our bandwagon ways, but it stalled when he didn't drop by for a visit.
I do know why he didn't come here - see a few posts down to see what I had to say.
Will our Hillary support mean anything? We will be the last to be counted. Everyone will be watching us and if it's close enough, we'll be the big story of the night.
Wouldn't it be great to be known for voter turnout for once? We may lose our virginity yet.
Only question is will they keep the results quite until El Paso finishes voting.

they never keep the results quiet until El Paso finishs. The rest of the State will be done one hour before our polls close and the winner will be declared by 5:30 or 6 p.m.
Local races usually have winners desclared when 60% of the polls are in or when the numbers are so large that it is blatantly apparent.
