I was going write a very involved piece, but the temperature over at Newspaper Tree wasn't right, so this is what you get. I'm only covering what I consider the "major races" here. God if I know how the judicial races are going to turn out. I plan on staying out of court just in case we elect the wrong person.
Sheriff -
Leon and Wiles meet in a runoff with Patino somewhere in third. This was a nice race for voters given that all the folks involved have loads of integrity and a big respect for each other.
I think Barbara Perez was busted in a plot to push Chief Wiles' sexuality and it ended up backfiring on her.
Remember - Leon is the first name a voter sees on the ballot and Wiles is way down towards the bottom. Leon could have an exaggerated benefit from that placement and win it outright.
Haggerty vs. Margo
Remember, I like both of these guys on a personal level.
Margo wins. Haggerty has been too much of a friend of the democrats and the right wingers will punish him for that behavior. I think Haggerty does a great job, but I'm sure that the stars aligned against him this time.
Haggerty is said to rely heavily on democrats crossing over to vote for him in the primary. Due to the "heavy ticket" on the democratic side many of the regular Haggerty voters won't be voting for him. Just look at the results so far. The other day I heard Mr. Chacon say that the numbers were something like 40,000 democrats voting and 7,000 or so republicans voting. That doesn't fare well for a guy relying on democrats for their crossover votes.
Caballero vs. Esparza
Jaime Esparza wins, but Caballero gets more votes than any of you ever thought she would. Too bad she got herself in some big trouble with her actions.
Moreno vs. Marquez
Moreno is the winner. His machine is not only vicious, but effective. Forget what they say about her, worry about the threats to the average voter in the district. Busing, illegal voting and the like will be prevalent on Tuesday. Moreno doesn't lose this race. Don't be surprised if you meet someone in law enforcement and they tell you that well organized gangs in that district help with turnout. I do not joke at all. Marquez has a steep hill to climb and from what I've learned, it's a well organized hill that has every base covered.
Let's not forget that she doesn't "look" like the folks from her district when you get down to what she has and where she's been. Take that in consideration if you don't believe my "voter turnout" info.
That's all I got right now.
well give us the lowdown on NPT

1. If anyone is going to win outright, it's going to be Wiles.
2. You're right. Margo wins.
3. Don't try to scare me, man. Caballero will poll somewhere in the 30s.
4. You're right. Moreno wins.

Well Mr. Terronez I have something to shoot for then.
We're going to Aruba in May and I hope to have at least a little muscle left on me.
You see, we weren't married in that picture. Now that we are married I have been weakened tremendously by the smallest amount of metal on my left hand - it's like cryptonite. I'm only good at moving boxes and furniture now and frankly that's not the best workout.

Dave
Moreno will loose by a landslide
Margo will win only because Haggerty's mom hurt more than helped
all sitting judges will be ousted
Caballero and Esparza will be close ONLY because Esparza has acquired more enemies over the last 16 years then Caballero has in the last 5
Sheriffs close between Wiles and Leon but I am keeping my fingers crossed for Wilkins
