Headlines around the state gave Texans the news with varying degrees of excitement and dismay yesterday - Beto didn't the big union endorsement. You're probably asking - "why does anyone care?" It's newsworthy because it's so idiotic.
If you're a union in Texas things are hard enough already. It's a right to work state. You don't need to compound this by pissing off the only guy who might have given one damn about your issues. Beto may have not come to the candidate forum/meeting/waste of time, but that doesn't mean he won't side with you when the time comes. Why make an enemy out of a natural ally?
Like me, Ted Cruz ain't worried a bit about the health of the unions. Cruz is anti-union - as he should be. He's never going to be on the union's side. So why not take a chance on the other guy? It's not like they have to give Beto money they don't have. Just write it down on the union's website and move on. That way later on you can squeeze Beto for a favor (if he wins).
It all just seems so stupid to me.

How can Beto beat Cruz in a district that is majority Republican voting? Unless a whole lot of Republicans cross over or stay home in historic numbers can't see how Beto stands a chance against Cruz. Beto can claim how he is ahead in polls but we know these days polls do not mean poop! Realistically show us how Beto has a path to victory against Cruz.
Beto doesn't have a outstanding recorded in Congress or if they use what he supported as a City Council member do not see how Republicans would turn out to vote for him!

I give a damn. That's who. With my small donations to PACs, and to ACT BLUE, I support many races. If the Union of 2 members didn't support Beto, that tells me something. He won't get my vote.
