It's hunting season, so that's taking all my time right now. Wanted to touch on a couple of things, though.
First, the Lost Dog trail goes back into the abyss with council voting to keep exploring a conservation easement... which they plainly said can not be done without some major considerations... and by "considerations" I mean huge losses of money in its various forms (taxes, investments etc...).
What I think is happening here is that council just gave up making Svarz happy and decided to pigeon hole him with a promise to "keep studying" the issue. God knows the government never "studies" anything in a timely manner. In this case, that works to the advantage of the taxpayer. Remember, the council wasn't going to do a thing with the land for two years no matter what. This allows them to wait Svarz out and simply go on with whatever they want to do. With budget concerns becoming more concerning... you can bet future councils will delete the ordinance and try to make some money back developing the area.
However, what if the mineral rights, which the city doesn't own, are rented or sold to a new concrete company who wants to quarry on the land? I think we have a solution! Anyone know somebody looking for some cheap rock?

How much has He Who Shall Not Be Named cost you in a ridiculous tail chasing legal battle he will eventually lose? A little over $1.5 million so far. Yes, this is completely ridiculous, but what can you do? Probably nothing. However, if you support this guy and you bitch about taxes - you're a hypocrite.
